As I get older, I find myself doing less, but
thinking more ...still curious about everything. As an eccentric gentleman I was known for
my eclectic knowledge. Now that I have become a
wiser... ok, an opinionated senior, but still a
gentleman, I offer you some personal thoughts that I hope
will be Food For Thought for you.

Values
Hello, brothers and sisters.
If you're reading this, the world is still here and
so are you.
For the record, I never had a moment of doubt.
Our destiny is nigh.
A destiny that touches every Canadian value that we
hold dear.
Like it or not, we are masters of our fate.
Our cause, however righteous, pales in comparison to
the impact of our effect.
Any hope for a better future comes from willing that
future into being,
and taking any and all necessary actions to make it
so.
A future reflecting the measure of good values
within ourselves.
And all that is good inside us is measured by the
good we do for others.
Our future must be built on Canadian values:
kindness, trust,
respect and mutual understanding.
Of course, many will never know our true values, but
we do.
We, the silent majority, who often live and die in
the shadows.

2024.08.20 Money Is A Tool ?
I usually remind friends and acquaintances that
money is a tool, a tool to improve ourselves and
society at large. Hoarding money is therefore a
“sin”, right ?
In reading “Delphi Mediation”
by Bob Blanton, I came across a dialogue that had me
rethinking my usual money reminder.

Jodi teases Princess Catie about meeting for lunch…
and Catie having to pay as she is “made of money”.
So, herewith the update : "Money is a
tool meant to improve yourself and society by
enabling quality relationships based on sharing,
even in small confidential events."

Seems that social medias, and even legacy
medias, are promoting their interpretation of, and
using disinformation / misinformation on different
current issues… to click bait the unwary.
Although their discourse is often opinionated based
on choice examples, I thought it timely to clarify
an important aspect, a basic principle if you wish.
DISINFORMATION >> is
propaganda issued by known “trusted” entities.
PROPAGANDA >> is
disinformation issued by known “terrorist” entities.

Questions to ask ? Let me see. Let’s start with
who I am… a little. I am a 73-year-old eccentric old
fogey, and a generalist-consultant since the late
60s.
So instead of questions, how’s about
some suggestions.
1) Break your ties with
the sponsors who ask for favours that are favourable
only to them and not society as a whole.
2) Break with tradition and push for a
Proportional Representation election process.
3) Cancel all foreign contracts with entities
based in or that have proven ties with countries on
the UN Watch’s list of human rights abusers.
4) Review and disallow any sale of Canadian
companies, especially natural resources, to Chinese
entities and any others on the UN Watch’s list of
human rights abusers. 5) Improve Canada’s
security by improving cooperation with all security
services in Canada, and ensuring efficient relations
with allied services. 6) Improve Canada’s
military strength by increasing its budget,
especially for pay increases to its grunts and
lower-level personnel. 7) Push to improve the
military’s command system, to reduce its bloated
management level. 8) Encourage youth (18-25)
to participate in a reservist military program, with
northern and maritime training, using youth-centric
benefits to entice them to join. 9) With an
ageing population leading to higher costs and
waiting time for health services, it is time to
reconsider traditional mindsets to create a truly
holistic, synergistic system that will encourage
independent communal living a la Villa Alfred Xavier

stubborn, and determined. Do you want to
spend your life only existing ? Does your

Why live if not to pursue a dream, right ? BE
IT !

question, right ? Weighing whether we should
live a life ofPURPOSE,
a life over which we’ve taken control, or
whether we should simply exist, giving up
control of the events around us, that is the
question ! Which choice have you made with
your life ? Can you take control of “this”
situation and lead your brethren to safety ?
INSPIRATION ...so elusive but such a high. A foundational skill of those bettering the world.
Seek and you will find ? Not according to Franz von Holzhausen, who said in a recent interview that it ”really comes from anywhere and I can't really
pinpoint it or expect to be able to be inspired at a specific time or moment”.
How to find ? At any time, in any situation, he said.
I would add that inspiration comes from our subconscious, our personal quantum domain,
as it stirs our current situational event along with its emotional synergy and our anthology of past experiences.

One of my "morning ministrations" is to surf the web based on eclectic criteria. This morning's
finds provided a reminder from my past of one of the inspirations for my
GVM initiative.
I speak of course of
Simon & Garfunkel
, notably their Sound of Silence composition. Quite a masterpiece, especially when considering the
lyrics indepth.
Sadly its meaning is still unfathomable to the majority who seem more enthralled with mind-numbing mobile apps.
Our technological powers continue to too often hinder our civilization's growth into a mature psychologically balanced species.
